Intel to offer Cedar Trail CPUs with prices 30-50% less than existing Atom CPUs
Intel is set to announce its latest 32nm-based Cedar Trail platform for netbooks in September with prices of the platform’s CPUs to go as low as US$42-47, a drop of 30-50% compared to the price of existing Atom N4xx and N5xx series CPUs at US$64-86, according to sources from netbook players.

Netbook computers are growing in popularity as they are eye catching, and reasonably priced which is a must for any major electronics purchase. They are are simple to run, convenient and easy to use for blogging, email or social networking. It would be wise to think about all the features included in the Netbooks as each one is different and even though the prices may vary slightly each computer is unique.

To evaluate netbook computers bear in mind the following capabilities, there are many look at sites on the net which will allow you to evaluate capabilities and prices. Netbook computers are nothing but miniaturized laptops therefore the features to consider as same. The CPU will mostly be the Atom processor or N270 at 1. 6 GHz of speed and are designed for energy efficiency.

Somewhat costlier netbook computers may have the N280, yet there are other versions available. Netbooks have an average memory size of 512MB with a 1GB RAM, there are a few versions which let you add more memory which is a plus if your netbook computer runs on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

The memory of the hard drive varies from 4 to 16gb and higher. The main benefit of a smaller memory size is that the netbook computer tends to start up faster. Netbooks can be easily upgraded, and this is an added benefit.

The netbooks are lightweight and portable. Many models include a web cam for convenient video conferencing.

There are many types of touch pads and keypads which are almost 80 to 100% of the original size, and they take a little getting used to. The netbook computers allows you to surf the web through the slots for connectivity via the B/N/cellular and G netbook computers which come with the device.

There are slots and tools that also allow for easy connectivity, VGA connections, and more. Each netbook is unique with different features. And at their ultra affordable pricing points, you will want to shop around to find the perfect netbook for you.
