MeeGo 1.2 has been released, with support for Intel Atom and ARMv7 based devices including phones, tablets, netbooks and in-vehicle systems. Morning Tech Wrap: Google, AT&T, Facebook

Google has announced two new netbooks driven by its Chrome operating system. Acer and Samsung will manufacture the new laptops, which Google calls “Chromebooks”. The former will cost $349 with an 11.6-inch display, a dual-core Intel Atom processor, integrated dual-band Wi-Fi and option 3G and HD webcam. It will weigh 2.95lbs and offer up to six hours of continuous use, TechSpot reports.
